Lost Love, an anthology published by Dragon Soul Press released today! It features my short story Back Door, which is a portal fantasy with a twist!
It’s a wonderful, heart-wrenching story. Though it is about lost love, it is not a romance, and has some twists and turns in it.

I am pleased to announce that my short story, Back Door, has been accepted by Dragon Soul Press and will be published in their anthology, Lost Love, in February of 2020.
When I submitted Back Door to DSP, I was unsure if it fit the brief of the anthology. It’s a romance anthology and my story is about lost love but not a romance. I was amazed when I received an acceptance email.
Lost Love is currently in the process of editing and revision and will be released towards the end of February. When the book is available, I will include information on where it can be purchased.
I always told myself that I was bad at writing short stories because I’m a long-winded writer. I tried a few times, but always gave up in the end and stuck what I thought I could do, which was long fiction only. But thanks to my writing and critique group, I had to force myself to try it. Really try it. I struggled at first, but with their help, knowledge, encouragement, and constructive criticism, I started to get better at writing short form.
Now, all that has paid off. I am pleased to announce that I received an email yesterday that my first published short story was released! Yes, that means I am officially a published author, a dream come true. It’s the first stepping stone towards the publication of novels.
My short story, Etched in Steel, can be found in Michigan’s Emerging Writers: An Anthology of Fiction, by Z Publishing.

On to the next stepping stone. Thank you for the encouragement and support!
